Regulating New Surveillance Technologies at Work
In collaboration with Panoptiwork and STeP. Sandy Gould from the University of Cardiff will delve into the evolution of surveillance technologies, challenging the traditional critiques by highlighting the modern changes in workplace measurement. Following him, Michele Molè from the University of Groningen will address the legal implications within the EU, aiming to protect workers' privacy and rights.

Hackathon : Machine Learning Reliability and Verification
Join the 48 hours Machine Learning Reliability and Verifiability hackathon from 26th May at 19:00 to 28th May at 20:00 on-campus! In groups of 1 to 6 students, you will compete against participants from across the globe for a prize pool of 2000 euros, and get a great chance to review and learn from each others' projects!

Signup for our Technical AI Safety course
Signups for the AGI Safety Fundamentals discussion course have officially opened! Are you interested in learning more about AI Safety and are studying in Groningen? Then this is the course for you! The AGI Safety Fundamentals Alignment curriculum is widely considered to be the gold standard for offering an introduction to the field of technical AI safety and will be facilitated on-site in Groningen for free! The signup form will close on April 10th so make sure to signup fast.
